Reins of Hope, a Christian non-profit organization, is a therapeutic horseback riding center for children and adults with special needs. Reins of Hope provides hippotherapy (physical therapy on horseback) and therapeutic riding to 60+ riders from 5+ counties in the North Texas area.
As the medical needs of children with disabilities constantly change, our center is committed to offering equine services to every person in the community who struggles with the challenge of their diagnosis. We offer the freedom, mobility, and vitality of horses in a safe setting supervised by caring leaders.
Our program staff includes two therapeutic riding instructors, two physical therapists and ten horses, plus a Ranch Manager and Office Manager to keep things running smoothly. We depend on volunteer helpers and financial support from the community to help us offer therapy, care for the horses, maintain the property, and sustain the mission.

Our non-profit organization first started as Apache’s Angels Foundation In August 2006 at Stajduhar Stables in Colleyville, TX. We were named after the first therapy horse, Apache, and we prided ourselves in working like angels alongside him. When Stajduhar Stables closed in October 2011, Apache’s Angels donated its horses and material assets to Haven's Horses – a ministry of Christ’s Haven for Children located in Keller, Texas.
From 2011 – 2015, Apache’s Angels Foundation did not have a physical location, but worked to help accredited therapeutic riding centers in North Texas by participating and promoting volunteerism, by conducting fundraisers and awareness-raising events, and by providing therapy scholarships. During that time, we became especially fond of Haven’s Horses in Keller, because it most closely aligned with our mission, history and location.
When Christ's Haven needed to cease operations of Haven's Horses, we offered to try to bring Apache's Angels back into full operation as a therapeutic riding center, if allowed use of their site. Permission was generously granted by Christ's Haven, and now our 501(C)3 non-profit organization is in active operations as Reins of Hope Therapeutic Riding Center at 4200 Keller-Haslet Rd. in Keller.
